National Service Scheme(NSS)
Aim: To identify the needs and problem of the community and involve them in problem solving. To train NSS Volunteers so that they are able to work in the community.
Objective: To develop among themselves a sense of social and civic responsibility. To develop competence required for group living and sharing of responsibilities.
Mechanism: First college receives letter which is further mark by Principal of the college in the name of Program Officers. Then plan of action in made by Program Officer under the guidance of Principal of the college and volunteers are informed about the plan of action. Finally the plan is carried out under the able guidance of Program Officers.
Mahavidyalay has two unit of NSS (Unit I & Unit II). Each unit enrolls 100 students every year. Students of each unit attend classes. of NSS (2 hours) per week. We have three one day camp and one seven days special camp. Every year Only 50 students per unit are selected for 7 days special camp. Students who attend two 7 days camp are given a certificate by university. Students who are selected for special camp have to complete 240 hrs to get certificate
